METHODS WE USE	TESTS WE USE
Reading & Phonics	WRAT
When you have trouble reading, we have found that by using phonic instruction, we can help you become a good reader FAST! Our highly organized group of lessons gives you the tools to learn quickly.	We use the WRAT (Wide Range Achievement Test). WRAT is a standardized test that lets me know exactly what skills you have in place right now.
Decoding new words	CRIT
We build your phonic decoding skills through the same principles of perception that you use to make talking and listening automatic.	We use the CRIT (Criterion Test) that comes with our Action Phonics materials. You will read from the CRIT test on graded levels of actual sentences that might appear in school books.
Comprehension	Review
Phonic decoding skills improve your comprehension. As you learn to decode more quickly, you are not distracted by having to stop and figure out a new word. This will speed up your reading and comprehension will come more easily, too. Rapid decoding gives you more time to notice and remember details as you read. Our tutors receive hands-on training in the use of these materials as they tutor.	These two tests give us a working view of your word-attack skills and your sounding-out skills. We test you at enrollment time and again every 8-12 hours. We discuss test scores with parents and students. We can write a report after we re-test and send that report to your teacher, if you request us to. We would also give you a copy of any report we send. We encourage your teachers to call and discuss your progress with us.
Math	Results
We have a lot of neat things we do in math, too. Building good math skills now will give you confidence for the rest of your life. You will move along nicely with our math instruction and learn a lot of tricks and tips that will take the stress out of math.	Highly successful methods assure that you gain basic skills with the fastest possible results in the shortest possible amount of time. We average one grade-level of reading progress every 10 hours. Imagine, in just a few week at the Reading Clinic, you get the same reading skills benefit as you would have by sitting for a whole year in school!
